Christopher K. Taleghani, M.D.,
Dr. Taleghani is a board certified neurosurgeon who specializes in minimally invasive surgery and complex spine and serious brain conditions. He received his Medical Degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine and received his Neurosurgery Residency training at Pennsylvania State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Taleghani obtained his MBA at The George Washington University.
In addition to the many serious conditions of the brain for which Dr. Taleghani is eager and trained to provide care, He has also invested intensive training time during the last almost 10 years to minimally invasive surgery and complex spine cases so that he can be highly skilled in the most cutting-edge surgical techniques and devices. As a result of this, he has become a sought-out instructor for other surgeons across the country, and have even been asked to evaluate and assist in development of minimally invasive spine technology for several companies.
Sanat Dixit, M.D.
Dr. Dixit joined us in the summer of 2010. He comes to Cumberland Brain and Spine from Denver, Colorado. Dr. Dixit specializes in the treatment of cerebrovascular disease, including cerebral aneurysms, vascular malformations, carotid and vertebral artery stenosis, and acute stroke.
Dr. Dixit earned his undergraduate degrees at Case Western Reserve University, and his M.D. at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He completed his neurosurgical training at the Pennsylvania State University- M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He subsequently completed a fellowship in interventional neuroradiology and endovascular neurosurgery, with added training in cerebrovascular surgery at the Semmes-Murphey Clinic/Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN.
He is one of a handful of neurosurgeons in the United States cross trained in both neurosurgery and interventional neuroradiology. He has been involved in several landmark trials involving acute stroke therapies, carotid artery stenting and endovascular aneurysm treatments. In addition, he has extensive experience in the operative and nonoperative management of spine disorders; including degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, spine fractures and tumors of the spine/spinal cord. Dr. Dixit is board certified with the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
Ramarao Pasupuleti, M.D.

Dr. Ramarao Pasupuleti joined our practice in October 2009. The Center for Pain Management at Cumberland Brain and Spine is an institute dedicated exclusively to the treatment of pain. The physicians of Cumberland Brain and Spine established this center to provide pain relief to all patients in a compassionate and comprehensive manner with quality of care as his guiding principle. Dr. Pasupuleti is a fellowship trained Pain Management specialist. He trained in interventional pain management at one of the best institutes for pain management at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas. Practicing as an interventional pain physician for the past seven years, he gained a wealth of experience in treating pain using a comprehensive multi-disciplinary approach with the latest techniques and technology. He is the secretary of Kentucky Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and has a competency certification in Interventional Pain management from the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians (ABIPP).
